I mean…how can you NOT love him!?

Just a little non-political Obama story that I love.A couple years back, when Obama was still a Senator, I worked in downtown Chi next to a building that housed an Obama office. My coworker and I were walking back from lunch and he sees Obama’s motorcade pull up to his building (it’s not hard, 4 massive black SUVs are relatively conspicuous). We take off running, suits, heels, and all to try to catch him. He’s already basically in his building, surrounded by security when my coworker yells, “HEY SENATOR OBAMA!” Obama TURNS AROUND, backs away from the entrance, and walks over to shake our hands and ask about our days and how we’re doing. Mind you, NO ONE is around, no media, no other people. Just my coworker, Obama, his security, and myself. We grinned like idiots. He was so genuine and exuded a sort of IT factor. That meeting has always stuck with me. He’s just such a damn likable guy I can’t help but to root for him. To me, it said a lot about his character that he took the extra 30 seconds to say hi to 2 mid-twenty something’s when in all honesty, he had nothing to gain. All politics aside, there aren’t enough people like him in the world.
